ZONDAG 24 SEPTEMBER ZEILEN IN BLOKZIJL LAATSTE WEDSTRIJD VOOR HET EK
4e Zomerregatta RG65 te Blokzijl, zondag 20 augustus 2017
Vrij veel wind, winddraaiingen en ander ongemak, vooral vóór de start.
Deze woorden typeerden de wedstrijden.
Het woei behoorlijk, maar omdat de wind besloten had om niet helemaal
precies in het verlengde van het vaarwater te blazen, hadden woonboten,
bomen en andere windvangers de nodige invloed op het wedstrijdverloop.
Merkwaardig was dat de meeste aanvaringen, waarbij niet zelden twee
of meer boten aan elkaar geknoopt leken, plaatsvonden vóór de start,
terwijl daar voldoende ruimte was en de start genoeg plaats bood aan 14
boten.
Blijkbaar begon de oplettendheid voor de veertien deelnemers pas na de
start.
Laten we hieruit, mijzelf niet uitgesloten, de nodige lering trekken,
zeker met het oog op het aanstaande EK.
De baan was lang, dus genoeg gelegenheid om fouten te maken en om
weer te herstellen, als het een beetje mee zat.
Soms viel de wind voor de één helemaal weg, terwijl een ander, op soms
nog geen meter afstand, zijn boot maar net overeind kon houden.
Eén en ander resulteerde in een enorme variatie in uitslagen. Soms was
je tweede of vierde, zomaar gevolgd door een viertiende of vijftiende plaats.
De eerste drie overall wisten wat dat betreft de schade beperkt te houden,
waarbij opviel dat het verschil in punten tussen de nummers 1 en 2
(18 resp. 20 punten) uiteindelijke maar twee punten bedroeg.
In totaal is er veertien keer gestart.
Veertien deelnemers in de vakantieperiode is een mooi succes, daar
staat de uitstekende accommodatie en het mooie vaarwater borg voor.
Dank gaat wederom uit naar de geen die de baan heeft uitgelegd, de uitslagen
registreerde en de totaalstand bijhield, Oene dus. Maar ook was de hartelijke
ontvangst met koffie, later gevolgd door broodjes en afgesloten met frisdrank
of bier typerend voor de gastvrijheid van deze locatie.

DE VOLGENDE ZOMMERREGATTA IS OP 20 AUGUSTUS
Hallo RG65 Zeilers
Op zondag 20 augustus zeilen we de vierdee zomerreggatta RG65 deze wedstrijd zal gevaren worden in Blokzijl.
Deze wedstrijd is voor alle RG65 Dragon Force en Affinity zeilers
Tijdens de wedstrijd willen we vooral veel informatie en ervaringen uitwisselen, dus ook als je nog geen wedstrijd ervaring hebt is dit een mooie gelegenheid deze ervaring op te doen met meer ervaren zeilers.
Er zal tijd zijn om zaken toe te lichten over de wedstrijden, het trimmen van de zeilen, de wedstrijd regels, en de beste tactiek.
Inschrijfgeld voor niet leden Blokzeilers is € 3,50 (onder de 16 jaar gratis)
inbegrepen een lunch bestaande uit broodjes in het clubgebouw en koffie met koek voor aanvang.

Koffie staat klaar vanaf 10.00 uur palaver circa10.15 uur eerste start 10.30 uur
laatste start zal zijn 15.00 uur waarna nog een drankje genuttigd kan worden.

3e Zomerregatta RG65 te Blokzijl, zondag 23 juli 2017
In een uiterst gemoedelijke sfeer – één van de hoofdkenmerken van de RG65-klasse – werden
20 wedstrijden gevaren onder gunstige omstandigheden.
De matige, soms wat variabele wind, blies keurig in het verlengde van het vaarwater,
waardoor de baan goed te bezeilen was en niet één keer verlegd hoefde te worden.
Wel was er af en toe wat lichte regen, maar van de zeer forse stortbui rond het middaguur
werd niemand nat, dankzij de brede overkapping van het clubhuis, waar gezorgd was voor broodjes,
koffie, jus d’orange en bier voor de liefhebbers.
Het aantal deelnemers was niet groot, maar door de veelal geringe verschillen in snelheid was
niettemin sprake van serieuze wedstrijden.
Eén keer noteerde de Affinity van Martin een 1e plaats, maar of dit kwam door de onoplettendheid
van de schrijver van de uitslagen of een andere oorzaak had, zal wel nooit worden opgelost.
Al met al kunnen we terugkijken op een mooie zeildag, met dank aan Oene en Henk.

Parking: all participants use parking area of the
Hotel. This is also allowed for Mobile homes who do not need any extra
facilities. Besides the hotel there is an official camper parking area about
100 meter distance to the Hotel area.
3. Organizing Authority:
The EuroRG65Open is a
nonprofit volunteer management group lead by the Dutch RG65 team of skippers
who are not affiliated or led by any official sailing organization.
The EuroRG65Open is a
“unofficial” race event with open character to each RG65 boat owner. The winner
of this EuroRG65Open does not carry an official European Champion Title. Rules
used for this event are set up by the Dutch RG65 team. Will be available in
upcoming period. Please check our website regularly.
4. Entry and Eligibility:

Entry is open event for all European RG65 & DF65 restricted
class owners.

All boats must display a sail number and land code
under rules of the RG65 restricted class.
